About
Hello! My name is Burin Asavesna, and I’m a web developer working out of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I’ve recently taken a position in Southlake, Texas, as a Ruby on Rails developer.
By utilizing XHTML, CSS, and Javascript, I’ve developed numerous front-ends for web applications, coded static web sites, and have even taken class notes in TextMate from time to time. I’m proficient with DOM based Javascript and fully table–less layouts, and I’m definitely not afraid to roll up my sleeves to wrestle with legacy code (FrontPage generated code with mysterious tags and tables anyone?)
I’m also well-versed in developing web applications from the ground up utilizing PHP/MySQL, Ruby, and wrangling the front-end of web applications done in Java. Sometimes I’ll even muck around with ASP and SQL Server when that’s the flavor-of-the-month. I’ve played with CakePHP in the past, a web development framework, but have been working professionally using Ruby on Rails since the beginning of 2008.
HelloBurin.com is my repository of knowledge and experiences, from biking to baking. I hope you enjoy your stay, and come back often!
